Our Doctors participate in on-going continuing education so that they may keep up-to-date on the latest evaluation and treatment techniques. They try to make your visit as comfortable and effective as possible.

  • Cataracts are a common cause of vision loss after age 55, although they can occur at any age. Learn more about recognizing cataracts symptoms, protecting your eyes and understanding cataract surgery.
  • Glaucoma testing involves measuring internal eye pressure and a detailed evaluation of the optic nerve for signs of disease.
  • Macular degeneration is an eye disease that causes distortion and/or loss of the central portion of the vision. The macula is the center of the retina (the internal lining of the eye that acts like the film in a camera). This is the portion of the eye responsible for processing fine detail and providing sharp central vision. This disease can be either a hereditary condition or an aging process due to poor circulation and the accumulation of waste products in the eye.
  • There is no separating diabetes and vision. If you have diabetes you should understand that vision problems that increase in likelihood as a result of the disease.
